Recently Yudhveer Singh Judev wrote a letter to the Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh asking him to cancel the caste certificate of those tribals who have been converted to Christianity. It created a panic among  the christian tribals. Various associations and the learned people urged the Chief Minister to act according to the Indian Constitution. Chief Minister directed the Adim Jati and Anusuchit jati vikas wibhag to issue notification. In the notification the state government explained clearly that it is the matter of the Central government which may act upon the direction of the parliament according to the Constitutional provisions. Therefore the tribals need not panic unnecessarily.
